Reflection to my future dream

Since I’m curious to work in the Food & Beverage industry the most, I would like to reflect those field what I learnt from SEB program.

I have a dream. I hope I could have a tiny restaurant that serves homemade food with drinks. This is one of my dreams what I want to make it come true one day during my life.

The restaurant only allowed 10 people to enter in, and everyone have a seat at counter. On the other side of the counter is me, the owner of the restaurant, who chats with customers while serving dishes made with seasonal ingredients along with alcoholic beverages. To be honest, there is no specific model company or restaurant, I would like to try creating my restaurant from zero.

This style of restaurant, customers are able to see what I am cooking right now while they are eating, also they can ask me to make anything what they want to eat. By hearing customer’s preference, then I customize meal. While enjoying conversations with customers, I have to cook at the same time. I must have time management skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, suggestive selling skills, and so on.

I believe that the quality and level of customer service Japanese is top in the world. I would say that the hospitality that is unique to Japan is based on consideration and thoughtfulness. In order to further develop these customer service skills in Canada, a place with a foreign culture, it is necessary to fully understand and practice what you have learned in this program.

As you know, Vancouver is multicultural city. There are so many kinds of restaurants. As I am Japanese, I’d like to be the one who convey to many people how amazing Japanese cultures are.
